Firstly- Thank you, everyone, for the tips and directions that I can go for future protection. I am greatly appreciative beyond words.
Secondly-I no longer have the problems.
Thirdly-I no longer have them because I was forced to do a complete factory setting system restore.

In the four minute scan I had managed to get done within the three hours of repeatedly shutting down manually, bringing up task manager and stopping the processes of several ‘new’ exe files to allow this scan to work-there were a total of 17 trojans, four worms, five ‘backdoor’ exe files, two different keygen exe files and more than 15 other infections before the computer froze completely.

I had to unplug it (Manually rebooting wasn’t an option-nothing happened when I tried) to shut it down. I kept the computer disconnected from the net (In case of that nasty self-replication happened (which it did) and tried for another hour to get something, anything to work.

Finally decided to go the system setting restore option-though I wanted to roll back the date to the last back-up rather than do the complete removal of all exe files. In the boot menu (F10) I was not allowed to do so. I tried the default system restore (Removal of all exe files, but the data files remained) and I was notified that the system admin needed to be notified to allow this action to be taken.

I AM THE SYSTEM ADMIN. I only have the system admin as a user. I had this come up for the roll back of the date system restore, too.

Last ditch effort failed (Trying to reboot and go into the admin functions while using task manager to delete out those bastard exe files that kept popping up) miserably. I had written down several of those exe files, so I attempted to do the search for them (while…using task manager) and failed. It took four minutes, maybe five, before the computer froze (every time) and I had to reboot or unplug.

So. Final option was to wipe the computer clean of everything in the factory setting system restore.

100G of content, applications, saved art, wip’s, my morph sets and model sets I have been working on to sell (All but ONE haven’t been tested-so the files weren’t backed up outside of my hard drive yet…Joques, at least, has been tested and I will be getting his files soon from the so kind tester.) as well as the 100 so brushes for ps7, the MONSTEROUS amount of textures, ref. photos, ect…

Gone.

I have some backed up on a site for storage files.

I had some purchased sets that are no longer available and are lost completely.

I had some freebies that are no longer available. (Adzan, Isopop for exp.)

As ill as I feel, and as violated as I may feel, I at least can now pick and choose what will stay and what won’t be reinstalled until needed.

I guess, for that tiiiiiny silver lining (I have needed to clean up my runtime FOREVER) I can breathe again.

For now, however, I am on hiatus from online art. I don’t know for how long-perhaps a month, perhaps more.

I feel disheartened, quite upset and utterly disgusted and need to just be away from all of this I have been involved in to recover my thinking.

Thank you, heartfelt and honestly, to everyone for all of the thoughts and concerns my way. I am not leaving permanently- I just need a break.

I –will- be back.

You have been warned.

deviantID

A relatively new 3D artist who has started to branch out into making texture mappings for figures.

Gothic, horror, fantasy, sci-fi; why not?

Traditional works I do as well; oils, pencil, pen, acrylics. Realistic, comic book, almost (not quite) anime/manga. Not as good as some I've seen here and elsewhere, but inspiration is drawn from several just on DA alone.

Commision work is an option if one wishes to ask; please feel free.
